Fender Vintera 50’s Telecaster – Butterscotch

The ‘Vintera’ series is a new vintage inspired, high-end Mexican range from Fender. They’ve taken cues from the old ‘Classic Player’ series and added some little extras to sweeten the deal. This Telecaster comes in a gorgeous traditional Butterscotch as well as a little more outlandish Sea Foam Green. This 50’s model has a big fat ‘U’ profile neck, with a smooth satin finish which allows for extreme ease of playing. It features a traditional Tele’ pickup configuration, but with a 4-way pickup selector switch and the ‘S1’ switch in the volume pot, which allows for loads of different tonal variations. The 4-way switch offers both pickups in series and parallel in positions 1 and 3, with position 2 being the neck pickup and 4 being the bridge pickup. Sounds complicated I know, but pop in and play it (and most important of all hear it) and you’ll soon get used to the setup.
