PRS SE Mark Holcomb Satin Limited Edition Whale Blue
The ‘Student Edition’ range from PRS has gone from strength to strength over the last few years. They have managed to get professional quality down to an amateur price point, and that is not something that everyone has managed to achieve. This signature model is that of Mark Holcomb, who is part of the Prog-Metal behemoth Periphery. This guitar features a 25.5” scale length to cope with the lower tunings, and his signature Seymour Duncan ‘Alpha/Omega’ set provides the grit and guts to match. These pickups are incredibly versatile though, and although high output, produce some gorgeous clean tones that would make anyone weak at the knees. Mark Holcomb himself chooses to take these SE models with him on Periphery’s gruelling touring schedule over his USA Custom 6 strings, and if that isn’t enough proof of quality, then we don’t really know what to say!
