The S2 range from PRS is full of hidden gems, and this Vela is no different.
With a Type-D single coil neck pickup and a DS-01 humbucker in the bridge, you get a brilliant array of tones that go anywhere from chimey and delicate, to huge, bright and powerful. The straightforward 3 way switch, master volume and tone pots and coil split allow you to focus more on the playing, and less on fiddling around with electronics.
This Vela is a Hollowbody, so not only does it do bright and focused, it does light and airy too! The versatility of these instruments is difficult to beat, and for a USA made PRS, so is the price.
